What’s inside
Product scan
Barcode or ingredient list. Every product gets scored against EU and California cosmetic regulations. Save it to Your Products and create your routines.
Meal scan
Plate photo or barcode. Calories, macros, and EDC-classified additives, scored against the same regulatory lists. Adds to your daily intake automatically.
Cycle
Log your period and Luminelle figures out your phase. It shows up alongside every product and meal you scan, so you can spot your own patterns.
0–100, and where it comes from
Every Luminelle score is built from the same regulatory sources a cosmetic chemist or dermatologist would cite: EU CosIng Annex II, EU CosIng Annex III/V/VI, California’s cosmetic bills (AB 2762, 496, 2771), California Prop 65, and ECHA’s endocrine-disruptor candidate list. Each flagged ingredient contributes weight by severity tier.
| Tier | Source | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
Banned | EU CosIng Annex II · California cosmetic bills (AB 2762, 496, 2771) | Outright forbidden in EU or California cosmetics. |
Restricted | EU CosIng Annex III / V / VI | Allowed with concentration limits, use restrictions, or labeled allergens. |
Watch | ECHA endocrine-disruptor candidate list · California Prop 65 | Flagged by regulators with no current ban — surfaced so you can weigh it. |
Note | Industrial / disclosure-only lists | Surfaced for transparency. Zero impact on the product score. |
A score is a starting point, not a verdict. Tap any flag to read the regulator’s own words.
Meal tracking
Snap a plate or scan a barcode. Luminelle estimates calories and macros and flags EDC-classified additives in your food the same way it flags them in your skincare — same regulatory spine, same citations.
Calories add to a daily ring. We don’t set a target, we don’t reward restriction, and the ring resets at midnight.
Your current phase logs with each scan, so you can read your own week back.
Tap any plate for protein, carbs, and fat. Skip the breakdown if you don’t.
Cycle tracking
Log your last period and cycle length. Luminelle shows you what phase you’re in today and colors your calendar by phase. Optional symptom slider per day — three taps, your words, no prompted checklist.
Follicular, ovulatory, luteal, menstrual — labeled, based on what you logged.
We don't predict your next period date or fertile window. We show where you are right now.
Every product, every meal, tagged with the phase you were in. Patterns surface over time.
The line we don’t cross
Luminelle does not tell you what's wrong with your skin, your hormones, or your weight. We log what you scan and surface patterns in your own data. Patterns are correlation, not causation. Anything that concerns you — talk to your doctor or dermatologist.
We score against ingredients, not brand reputations. A product flagged for one Restricted ingredient may still be entirely fine for you. We never tell you not to buy something.
Luminelle is not a diet app. We do not set calorie targets, we do not assign goals, and we do not reward restriction. Calories are a label, not a verdict.
The user observes patterns. Luminelle keeps the lab notebook.

The math is published
Our scoring rubric, our regulatory sources, our severity weights, our calorie estimation model, our quarterly update log — all public. If you think an ingredient should be on a list, write to us with a regulator citation. We’ll publish the response.
Public launch is Q2 2026. Join the waitlist for early access and benefits at launch. We’ll email you once — when we ship.
